ABA Therapy Solutions’ December Newsletter

Meet Gisel!

Gisel is ABA Therapy Solutions’ newest Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst!  Gisel has worked in the ABA field since 2010.  After graduating from UCF in 2008 with a bachelor’s in psychology, she interned at a center for children with autism. She became a Registered Behavior Technician in 2019. While studying for her BCaBA she was also the Stuart Clinic’s RBT Supervising Lead Therapist.  Gisel has been working with children for as long as she can remember and loves seeing her clients surpass what was once considered impossible.

Happy Holidays

Will you and your family be celebrating Chanukah, Christmas, or Kwanzaa? What about Festivus? Festivus is a holiday that begins on December 23rd and ends sometime in May. It was created as an alternative to the commercialism of Christmas by the father of a Seinfeld show writer, Dan O’Keefe in the 1960s. Regardless of which holidays you do or do not celebrate, ABA Therapy Solutions wishes you a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season. Just as a reminder, both of our St. Lucie West and Stuart clinics will be closed Thursday, Dec 24th, and Friday, Dec 25th.

Palm Beach County Availability

The Windows of Opportunity signed into law in 2008 by Governor Christ, truly did open a window of opportunity for people needing ABA therapy and their ability to utilize their medical insurance for payment.  Our two clinics in St. Lucie West and Stuart, provide services for pre-school-aged children quite effectively. While we do not currently have a clinic in Palm Beach County, we do have Analysts and Technicians available for In-Home ABA Therapy. For more information call Janine at (772) 678-6704 ext. 104

Teen Fixes Tattered American Flags for Local Businesses

Amatulli is autistic and his mother has said that the movement of the flag has always helped to calm him down. Now, he takes old, worn down flags and sews them back together, then hangs them up to proudly sway in the breeze. He learned how to sew from his grandmother.
