Out with the old and in with the new! Civilizations around the world have been celebrating the start of each new year for at least four millennia. Today, most New Year’s festivities begin on December 31 (New Year’s Eve), the last day of the Gregorian calendar, and continue into the early hours of January 1 (New Year’s Day). Positive reinforcement is a strategy in which reinforcement is given immediately following a behavior. In simplest terms, when the child displays positive behavior, the child is rewarded. White House intern with autism changes laws and opens hearts
Xavier DeGroat, a Michigan college student, just completed a landmark internship at the White House, adding to an already impressive list of accomplishments for someone who was once counted out because of his disability. DeGroat, a dedicated autism advocate, interned for President Trump for the last three months in perhaps his boldest effort yet to break down barriers for people on the spectrum.
